What types of assignments do you perform?
Our clients
engage us on assignments as large as
fundamental corporate and portfolio
strategies, as small as how to best monetize
assets from a specific business unit, and
everything in between. The common theme
among our assignments is that they involve
making strategic decisions in the face of
significant risk and uncertainty. These
often involve major capital investments that
will set the stage for success or failure of
our clients’ business strategies. We help
evaluate the risk and reward tradeoffs among
the options you may face.
We have no ‘typical’ assignment; our
engagements range from one-week long ‘turbo’
analyses on specific issues to more
strategic engagements lasting three or four
months or longer.
How are you
different?
We work in a
highly collaborative manner, while being
very efficient with the time of your staff.
Typically we work via a succession of
intensive workshops, between which we gather
information and build models that make the
workshops very productive. In this
way, we build alignment to the ultimate
decisions that will be made.
All projects
are staffed entirely with very
experienced senior consultants.
What methodologies do you employ?
We
constantly strive to take a
‘decision-focused’ approach; that is,
gathering information and developing
analysis that supports specific investment
decisions. Therefore, we are careful to
first understand the scope and range of
alternatives and clearly define the
potential options. Once the options are
delineated, we build the models and gather
the information needed to objectively assess
the pros and cons of all options from a
range of perspectives.
